Tokyo Stock Exchange: CONNEQTOR To Cooperate With QUICK - First Group Of CONNEQTOR-Connected Trading Participants Also Announced

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) has developed a Request for Quote (RFQ) function, along with its usage platform CONNEQTOR, with the aim of improving the liquidity of ETFs and decided to cooperate with QUICK Corp. (QUICK) to provide further convenience to users.

Users are able to use CONNEQTOR for no initial or monthly fees by connecting via the Internet. However, there is demand for a connection which enables highly secure communications for the purposes of buying and selling. As a result of this collaboration with QUICK, users of QUICK's terminals (QUICK Workstation) will be able to connect to CONNEQTOR via dedicated lines used for QUICK's existing financial information services. Connections made via QUICK will incur no additional fees, and both initial and monthly fees will remain free.1

CONNEQTOR

CONNEQTOR is scheduled to come into operation in December 2020. Investors are scheduled to be able to trade ETFs using CONNEQTOR through the following Trading Participants from the first day of operations as of now:

  • SMBC Nikko Securities Inc.
  • Goldman Sachs Japan Co.,Ltd.
  • JPMorgan Securities Japan Co.,Ltd.
  • Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co.,Ltd.

(In Japanese alphabetical order. New applications from Trading Participants will be announced on the Japan Exchange Group (JPX) website2. Any Trading Participant may apply to provide this service, so if you wish to use CONNEQTOR, please contact your preferred Trading Participant.)

CONNEQTOR is currently being provided in a test environment. Investors and market maker candidates are able to test the actual functionality to be provided by acquiring a test ID (no charge).

The test period has been extended from the end of August, and testing is available until 23:00 JST. If you are interested, please contact us to apply for a test ID. We will shortly announce how to apply for IDs for after operation begins.
