Shanghai Gold Exchange: Announcement On Trading Schedule During Public Holidays For Year 2026
In accordance with the Circular on Issues Concerning the Holiday Schedule for Year 2026 (GBMFD[2025] No. 7) issued by the General Office of the State Council, and in combination with the actual situation of Shanghai Gold Exchange(SGE), SGE hereby announces the following holiday schedule for year 2026:
1.New Year's Day: The market will be closed from January 1 (Thursday, New Year's Day) to January 3 (Saturday). There will be no night trading session on December 31, 2025 (Wednesday). The market will remain closed on January 4 (Sunday) as part of the regular weekend closure and will resume normal operations on January 5 (Monday).
2.Chinese New Year: The market will be closed from February 15 (Sunday, w28th day of the twelfth lunar month) to February 23 (Monday, 7th day of the first lunar month). The market will remain closed on February 14 (Saturday) and February 28 (Saturday) as part of the regular weekend closure. There will be no night trading session on February 13 (Friday). The market will resume normal operations on February 24 (Tuesday).
3.Qingming Festival (Tomb-Sweeping Day): The market will be closed from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Monday). There will be no night trading session on April 3 (Friday). The market will resume normal operations on April 7 (Tuesday).
4.Labor Day: The market will be closed from May 1 (Friday, Labor Day) to May 5 (Tuesday). The market will remain closed on May 9 (Saturday) as part of the regular weekend closure. There will be no night trading session on April 30 (Thursday). The market will resume normal operations on May 6 (Wednesday).
5.Dragon Boat Festival: The market will be closed from June 19 (Friday, Dragon Boat Festival) to June 21 (Sunday). There will be no night trading session on June 18 (Thursday). The market will resume normal operations on June 22 (Monday).
6.Mid-Autumn Festival: The market will be closed from September 25 (Friday, Mid-Autumn Festival) to September 27 (Sunday). There will be no night trading session on September 24 (Thursday). The market will resume normal operations on September 28 (Monday).
7.National Day: The market will be closed from October 1 (Thursday, National Day) to October 7 (Wednesday). The market will remain closed on September 20 (Sunday) and October 10 (Saturday) as part of the regular weekend closure. There will be no night trading session on September 30 (Wednesday). The market will resume normal operations on October 8 (Thursday).
All members and investors shall make corresponding arrangements according to this schedule, implement effective measures, conduct risk management, and jointly ensure the smooth market operation. SGE will issue separate announcements if any changes to the holiday schedule.
