What is it about?

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) will hold a webinar to present the main findings and recommendations of the Electricity Wholesale Volume of the Market Monitoring Report (MMR) to be published by early November 2021.

What is the Market Monitoring Report?

The Market Monitoring Report (MMR) comprises of three volumes analysing Europe's energy markets in 2020: the Gas Wholesale Market Volume, the Electricity Wholesale Market Volume and the Retail Markets and Consumer Protection Volume.

The volumes are published on different dates: the 2020 Gas Wholesale Market Volume has been published in summer 2021, while the Electricity Market and Retail Markets and Consumer Protection Volumes are out in autumn 2021.

What can you learn in this webinar?

The event will focus on the remaining barriers identified in the report for the completion of the EU internal market for wholesale electricity, the main developments in 2020 – touching on the impact of Covid-19 and wider – as well as on the report's main recommendations.
