AqualisBraemar Set For Malaysian Adjusting Push
The central bank of Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, has formally sanctioned international consultancy AqualisBraemar to handle insurance claims in Malaysia.
Bank Negara Malaysia has confirmed AqualisBraemar’s registration as an adjusting business with effect from 1 August 2020. Registration in Malaysia will allow AqualisBraemar to extend their service offering to include adjusting of conventional power generation, renewables and oil and gas related insurance claims, from their office in Kuala Lumpur.
“From our regional base in Singapore and having obtained a loss adjusting license in Indonesia last year, we are now well positioned to support insurers, re-insurers, brokers and asset owners in Malaysia and across the Asia Pacific Region. Our local presence in many locations across Asia has been key to maintaining a high level of service in these challenging times of severe restrictions on travel” says John Harris, regional managing director of AqualisBraemar’s South East Asia region.
AqualisBraemar’s loss adjusters specialize in the investigation and resolution of insurance claims and commercial disputes within the energy (offshore and onshore), power and maritime industries. Key services include loss adjusting, expert witness, dispute resolution and risk assessment.
“Our strategy is to grow our loss adjusting business line, leveraging the group’s expanding geographical footprint, to better serve our clients, providing global service standards with a strong local presence. The new registration in Malaysia is another step in this direction,” adds Harris.
AqualisBraemar is a leading marine, offshore and adjusting consultancy to the energy, shipping and insurance industries. The company is part of Oslo-listed energy consultancy group AqualisBraemar ASA.
