Tokyo Commodity Exchange December 2018 Market Summary And 2018 Annual Update - TOCOM December 2018 Volume Averaged 84,488 Contracts, Up 1.4% MoM

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that December 2018 average daily volume was 84,488 contracts, up 1.4% from November. Volume increased for TOCOM’s most active contracts, such as the Dubai Crude Oil contract, which grew 5.6% month-over-month to 21,839 contracts and 23.8% year-over-year. Platinum Standard increased 7.3% m-o-m to 10,222 contracts but shrunk 8.9% y-o-y. RSS3 Rubber was up 49.5% m-o-m to 8,589 contracts and 27.2% y-o-y. Finally, the Gold Standard contract decreased 10.0% m-o-m to 26,927 contracts and grew 2.6% y-o-y.
