FESE - Call For Nominations: Nominations Are Currently Open For The European Small & Mid-Cap Awards 2024

These Awards aim to promote best practices and highlight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have accessed finance through capital markets via IPOs.
Jointly organised by the European Commission (DG GROW)EuropeanIssuers, and FESE.

Who can take part in the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards?

 

Listed companies:

  • With a market capitalisation of at most €1 billion at the date of Initial Public Offering (IPO);
  • That was publicly listed on a Regulated Market or Multilateral Trading Facility between the dates 01.01.2022 and 31.12.2023 only;
  • Nominated by a participating stock exchange from within the EU 27 Member States;
  • Companies that have not won first place in any of the four categories in the Small and Mid-Cap Awards 2023. To the extent possible, exchanges are encouraged to put forward companies that have not been shortlisted in 2023; however, having been short-listed (without having won first place) does not disqualify a company from being nominated again.


An independent Jury will select a shortlist of three companies per category. The winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony in Budapest, Hungary.
How to apply

CATEGORIES
 Rising Star
The winner of the Rising Star Award will stand out in the sub-group of SMEs with a market capitalisation of up to € 200 million. An emerging business, will have further growth potential and provide evidence of good governance. Since going public, its share price will have risen to a respectable but not excessive premium.
 International Star
The companies in this category boast impressive results in terms of international sales, profit and market share growth. All candidates competing in this category have likely expanded their presence in either existing or new markets and made great achievements in the international scene. 
 Star of 2024
The shortlisted companies in the category Star of 2024 are considered to be exceptional leaders and stand out in the crowd in a broad range of areas including a vision of clear growth potential. 
 Star of Innovation
The companies in this category place innovation at the centre of their strategy for business development. These candidates may also be introducing innovative technology to the market or using innovative techniques in their day-to-day operations. 
Special Mention
A ‘Special Mention’ will also be awarded on the night of the Awards ceremony to an individual or company which has had a significant impact on small and mid-cap issuers accessing capital markets.
 
About the Awards

This year's event will be held in November in person as part of the European Commission's Annual SME Assembly in Budapest, Hungary
